Our local press in Oxford and Stoke on Trent have both supported us well. We are very grateful to them.

Trekking for an orphanage

I always smile at the thought that there are some crazy people on this earth. Take Naomi Watson for example. Yesterday she left her nice and comfy home to go trekking in the Himalayas for ten days. She is raising funds for construction orphanages in India and Africa.

If you want to donate to her worth project, visit H.E,L.P. International and donate something via PayPal.

Plymouth to Banjul Challenge

I have subscribed to this challenge today. I will be keeping an eye open for a GBP 100 car in the next few weeks. I hope I do not miss the registration for the challenge, when it is announced.

I have driven across the Namib desert and the Kalahari desert already and the Sahara will be chicken feed compared.

In 1990 I was party to a plan to drive from London to Harare. The plan did not work out due to inexperience. This challenge will be a tiny fraction of that original intention.

I plan to raise money for the children looked after by H.E.L.P. International.

Christmas Cards

Listen!. I have a lot of friends whom i normally send Christmas Cards. This year I thought maybe I should do something new. I counted the number of my friends and multiplied the result by the price of a card. I donated the would be cost to charity on behalf of my friends.

So if you did not get a card, please assume that it was never bought and the money went towards one child's Christmas dinner.

You should still have a nice Christmas without sulking about me not sending you a card. You are still my friend!!!!!
